The Club Dumas by Arturo Perez-Reverte
This is a book I've read twice before, and one that I enjoy rereading every few years. Hollywood made a really bad movie out of it called The Ninth Gate, which bears little resemblance to the book. The book itself is a good intellectual read--one that makes you feel smart and as if you're spending your time in a worthwhile manner, while simultaneously being entertained.
The Pig Did It by Joseph Caldwell
I'm not liking this book a whole lot. . .but I'm trying. I'm just over halfway through it and it's not a thick novel. So I'll probably plow on through. However, I don't identify with the protagonists at all. The humor's also rather dull.
